What is JEANPHIL?

Jean Phil (JEANPHIL) is a Solana memecoin built around an AI-generated character: a moustached "gentleman-boxer" in a brown suit who posts shadowboxing videos, many of them set in Paris. The character went viral on Instagram in September 2026, and the coin rode that attention.

The token launched on Pump.fun on 19 September 2026, a day or two after the character's first post, and moved to PumpSwap once its bonding curve filled. Who created the character is unknown; German broadcaster ZDF found the account had changed its name several times and appears to be run from Belgium. The Instagram bio once linked to the coin, and the @JeanPhilMadame account on X promoted it while saying it would never give price targets.

The coin dropped sharply two days after launch, and allegations that insiders sold on buyers followed; Cybernews reported that on-chain data did not support them. Copycat AI characters with their own coins appeared soon after. There is no utility: it is a meme about a viral persona.
