What is SCHIFFY?

SCHIFFY is a memecoin on Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum-compatible layer 2 network that Robinhood built for tokenised stocks and other assets. Its twist is the pairing: instead of trading against ETH or a stablecoin, SCHIFFY trades against a tokenised gold product, GLD, in a single on-chain pool. The project's X account, @schiffygld, leans into that gold theme. The project does not explain the name itself.

The token appeared on 29 August 2026 and trades on Uniswap on Robinhood Chain. According to the project, trading fees are split two ways: fees collected in GLD are mostly paid out to holders, with the rest going to a vault, while fees collected in SCHIFFY are burned. Those payouts depend on trading activity and can be zero. The token is a community coin: it is not a claim on physical gold, and Robinhood neither issued nor endorses it.
