What is ZC?

Zipcoin (ZC) is an Ethereum fan token inspired by Snowmoon, the novel Vitalik Buterin announced as finished on 27 September 2026 - the day the token was created. The team said it had no affiliation with Buterin. On 22 October 2026 the team announced it was shutting the project down.

It launched through the Stockereum launchpad and trades in Uniswap v4 pools, mainly against WETH; MEXC and LBank also list it. The product offered private "zip and unzip" transfers through a Privacy Pools deployment using zero-knowledge proofs, and a public "Book" where users burned tokens to post short messages. The code is open source on GitHub.

According to the team's statement, part of the supply held in UNCX vesting contracts was drained in the 15 October UNCX exploit, which it did not disclose at the time, and Railway later told it that its codebase and private keys were compromised. It said it would sell its remaining tokens after a short window for holders. Several tokens use similar names, so the contract address matters.
